photography magazines and a newspaper supplement. He lectures in Photographic Practice at
the University of Westminster and photographs widely in Central Asia. He is contributing
editor to What Digital Camera and writes regularly for The British Journal of
Photography. He is working on three books, all on digital photography, and completing

(Focal Press 1979). Silver Pixels: Making
Photographs the Traditional and Digital Way
will be published in 1999
Moving with the times is always inconvenient and seldom pleasant but
the change always brings a palpable relief
. And personal satisfaction. Tom Ang takes
you through a survival kit for change - a refreshing blend of Eastern thought with western
technology, combining silver processes with the digital, searching for artistic freedoms
with pragmatism, duelling with the twin curse of lack of confidence and the fact that
everyone really is better than you
