DESIDERATA II

ongoing body of work, a Schmaltzy Poster Pastiche, originated on a flight
to California. The in-flight magazine had pages of adverts for those awful
posters that I thought had died at the end of the 80’s – the sorts of

The dawn of the Internet age was for me an exciting period of discovery of like minded people with whom I had not had contact before. Over the last 10 years I have been collecting quotes and aphorisms that are more suited to my view of the world than the ones that Athena and others foisted on us in the ‘60’s and ‘70’s – this is my response. It is not my intention to offend, but to put forward a view that has been often suppressed. It is a view far removed from cynicism, as I understand it, reflecting a positive view of society and mankind’s real achievements, when released from blind faith and pseudoscience. I have purposely tried to make the pseudo frames look as gaudy as possible in the hope that you will be attracted to them in same way as you used too! Here is an opportunity to refresh your loo walls with innovative art at very reasonable prices – all prints are for sale in limited editions – more like the real thing than the real thing!
